O Cantinho do Tobias
Ten gentle games for children learning to speak with calm — breathing, articulation and voice — guided by Tobias, a little bear who stutters too.
- 10games — breath, articulation, voice
- 10–15 minsessions, made to do together
- Offlineno install — plays in the browser

The idea
Speech practice for a child who stutters can feel clinical and lonely. We wanted the opposite: a warm, unhurried place where practising to breathe and speak feels like play — and where the guide, a bear named Tobias, stutters too, so the child never feels alone in it.
What we built
Ten small games, each training one thing — belly-breathing, a sustained hiss, syllables tapped on a drum, a stretched lazy vowel, a tongue-twister. The browser speaks in Portuguese and beats the drum through the Web Audio API, a star count rewards finishing, and a note to parents sets the pace: short sessions, done together, no correcting.
- +Ten games for breathing, articulation, rhythm and voice
- +Portuguese speech synthesis and Web Audio, no install
- +Star rewards and a 10-star celebration to keep going
- +Calm, accessible design with guidance for parents
The experience
What could be a worksheet becomes ten minutes a child and parent look forward to. It runs offline on any browser, asks for no logins or downloads, and treats stuttering not as a problem to fix but as something Tobias is working through too.
