The idea
Most people will never stand inside Solomon's Temple — it hasn't existed for millennia. We wanted to rebuild it as something anyone could walk through, with no app to download and no headset required: a real-time 3D reconstruction that opens in a browser tab and runs on an ordinary phone or laptop.
What we built
We modelled the temple from historical descriptions and built a guided, navigable scene around it — performance-budgeted so the 3D stays smooth on modest hardware, and paced so the architecture reveals itself the way a visitor would have experienced it.
- +Real-time WebGL scene, no install or plugins
- +Guided path: outer court, bronze pillars, Holy of Holies
- +Optimised geometry and textures for mobile
- +Narrative captions setting the historical scene
The experience
The result is a place you can explore rather than a page you read — an ancient building made present, reachable by anyone with a link. It's also a clear demonstration of what we can build on the web: real-time 3D that loads fast and works everywhere.
